What is a Producer Company?

India is an agriculture-driven economy, and a Producer Company is a legally recognised body formed by farmers or producers to carry out activities related to primary produce. Procedure for Producer Company Formation

1. Obtain DSC

All proposed directors must obtain a Digital Signature Certificate for online filing of documents.

2. Name Approval

Apply for name reservation through the “Reserve Unique Name (RUN)” facility with the Registrar of Companies (ROC). After approval, incorporation must be completed within the prescribed time.

3. File Incorporation Application

Submit the incorporation application in SPICe+ form along with required documents such as MOA, AOA, declarations, and affidavits.

4. Certificate of Incorporation

After verification, the Registrar of Companies issues the Certificate of Incorporation. The process generally takes around 7 working days.
